Only apply once per your household.

Please have your student drop it off in your school kitchen with the Food Service staff. We have 10 business days to process the application (it usually takes 24-48 hours).

If you qualify for free or reduced-price meals, you will be notified by either letter or email of the application results. If you believe you have applied or should be automatically approved and have not heard from us, please call our office at (360) 396-3279 as soon as possible. You can also check Skyward Family Access. If you have been approved, you can view/print your approval letter from there.

If your application was denied, you will be sent a letter letting you know the reasons why and your options for re-applying.

Step 4: Re-apply Each School Year

A new application must be submitted each year (It cannot be submitted on last year's form).

Your child’s status from the prior year will roll over to the next school year for the first 30 school days or until a new application is received and eligibility has been updated.

If we have not approved a new application by this time, your student will pay the full cost for their meals until a new application is approved. All charges accrued between when the old one expires and the new one is approved are the parent and/or guardian's responsibility to pay back.

You are responsible for all charges until your application is approved.

**If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (360) 396-3279.

Once you have been approved, in order to receive the free/reduced rate, your student must choose a complete meal. That means 3 out of the 4 four food items in the appropriate amounts at breakfast and 3 out of the 5 food components in the appropriate amounts at lunch. Students must take at least 1/2 cup of fruit and/or vegetables.

Anything else will be considered ala carte, and your student will be charged accordingly.

Consent to Share Eligibility

Your child(ren) may qualify for other school benefits or other state or federally-funded school benefits. Providing a copy of your "Notice of Eligibility" to the school office will verify eligibility for certain programs that your child(ren) may qualify for.

The "Notice of Eligibility" is your approval letter that was either mailed or e-mailed to you. It is also available for you to print off from Skyward Family Access.

This includes fee waivers for sports and other programs that may be offered by a school.

You also have the option to fill out and submit a "Consent to Share" form.
